Week 96

Hey y'all! Another week in the bag. This week was interesting, and it was honestly filled with some intriguing struggles. I think, as I have said before, the struggles we have are able to refine us into someone better, and I am faithful that is true. I have loved being here and serving my Heavenly Father, and I have seen SO much divine help—it is insane. My new mission president arrived this past week! He is a lot different than my last one, haha. He is very laid back, casual, and is focused on the conversion of the missionaries. I have loved getting to know him and working with him thus far. Something he mentioned to me is, "You look WAY more handsome than you do in the picture they give me." I sat there dying laughing, and trust me, you would know EXACTLY what he is talking about if you saw that picture they gave him too. I am excited to see the pace change of this mission and later on be able to check in and see the changes. This past week, as I said, we experienced so...

Man, this week has been crazy? Exciting? Tiring? Hard? Rewarding? Amazing? Yeah, let's go with all that. I can't believe that July is almost here... I can't wait for the warmer weather to come and just absolutely obliterate my skin so I look nice and tan. We have seen a lot of cool things happening in our area this past week or so. I have been so lucky to have met some of these people and helped them grow in their path to discipleship! We have been teaching this couple recently, Crystal and Eduardo, and we had a nice and rather awkward talk with them about the Law of Chastity and how important it is to keep it. Crystal was our friend previously on a date, but we had to postpone it for now. She is ready to receive Baptism, but she also needs to progress just a bit more. We have become pretty good friends with her boyfriend, so we are now beginning to teach him on a regular basis. The mother of Crystal is our recent convert, and she is so faithful. She only has every other Su...

Hey everyone! This is officially my last Monday P-day! So, enjoy this while it lasts. Next week, I will most likely send out an email on Thursday, so make sure you set your alarms and are refreshing your email constantly. Man, this week was interesting! I always love how every week has something different because it always keeps me on my toes. We had a lot of stuff to do this week setting up Zone Conference. We took a lot of time setting up and taking down each day, but in the end, it was really good to see all of our friends. This week is our Zone Conference, and we will be attending the temple with our Mission President and his wife before they go home in just a short 3 weeks. Time flies! He has helped me a lot, and I appreciate that man a lot, so it is only right that we go to the temple with him. Something so awesome that I just love about Reno is all of the amazing things I would never see in Utah. Nevada is only a state over, and in fact, it's only an 8-hour drive, and the th...

Week 93

Another week has gone by so fast! Man, I can't believe that it is Monday again. Here soon, my P-days will be switched to Thursdays for my last transfer. Hopefully, that'll throw you off a little bit and switch it up for my last 6 weeks haha. I am going to be honest, this week was a little rough! I expected it though. I have had an amazing last 2 months, so God had to throw one in there to humble me and keep me on my toes. We faced a lot of opposition in the regards of sharing the Gospel, but we know that is part of it all!! Haha, I am still learning to cherish the moments of difficulty and hardship so that when I face them later in life too, I can do it with a smile. I got to go on 3 exchanges this week, which was so much fun. I got to go with my boy Elder Scott, who is the nastiest Ken legend in the Nevada Reno Mission. As much as I wanted to watch him play Ken all day, we went out and got after it all day. We set a goal in the morning to find 2 new people to start teaching. A...
