Week 67

Como andan?!      Man this week was FIRE! Gosh dang I love weeks like these. It's always rejuvenating to have a change and as well to be able to work super hard in a new area! Over here is great. I'm living in the Reno-Stead area which is just north of Reno. It's cool over here because it's a lot of warehouses and company buildings which a lot of people work in. Then of course, it's got a bunch of different houses and neighborhoods so that means lots of people! My new companion's name is Elder Bird! He is super cool. He's from Oregon, loves to sing and play music, and has improved his Spanish a lot since when he first got here! Oh man I'm so lucky to be here and be in this new area.     Just a few stories to throw in this week's email... In my last time visiting our friend Raymundo we talked a lot about repentance and change. We had a great lesson with him and he usually doesn't pray. However, I asked him to pray since I would be leaving the area...

Muy buenos días a todos     Man Thanksgiving week! What a great time to be a bit more thankful than we usually are right?! As a missionary it's really cool because we're able to get into a bunch of homes and share messages all about being thankful to our Heavenly Father! And a plus, everyone's got those Thanksgiving leftovers and they're not shy to give us any      This week actually turned out pretty good! At the beginning, I still had to quarantine because of covid, but I was lucky to feel better and be able to leave on Wednesday! I remember just praying so much to feel better by Wednesday so we could leave. It was crazy because I totally thought I wasn't going to feel good by Wednesday. On Tuesday I still had felt the same since the first day I got it, then I woke up Wednesday and boom, totally fine. I was in complete shock and so excited! God truly does bless His children!     Well, I have some rather surprising and unfortunate news. I'm being tran...

Que lo que?!     Oh boy the mission doesn't stay the same for one week. It's been an absolute Rollercoaster once again hahaha. You know I kind of like it so it's not too bad! Élder Kroff and I had a good week I will admit. We had some cool lessons and experiences so I can't complain one bit!     Listen, Elko is freezing and I can't stand it. Every single day the high is like 26 degrees. One morning I walked outside to "test" the cold... -1°. When we go out and tract I have thermals on, two sweaters, and a jacket/beanie combo. It's so crazy to me because it's literally a desert out here and yet it gets insanely cold. Apparently, it's supposed to get much colder so I guess I should be excited! Elko Nevada everyone.     One day as Élder Kroff and I were walking in this trailer park that I swear we go to everyday, we came across this one lady. We of course said hi and she responds with the classic, "Hola, cómo están ustedes?" We talked fo...

Que lo que?!     Man running it back with another email already? This week has gone by super fast holy smokes! Élder Kroff and I had a really good time so I am grateful for that. Sometimes on the mission it feels like some weeks are just action packed and success left and right... and others not so much. However, this last week we were very blessed! Man, I can't say it enough but I just love being a missionary!     It is getting very very cold over here in Elko. It is one of the coldest parts of the mission I think. I go outside to try to visit someone past 6 and it's like, "oh I forgot to put on 4 jackets, gloves..." so I miss the summer that's for sure. However, you'd be surprised how many people are down to let us in because it's cold outside! That was very comforting to me this week and it's cool because we already are in their homes!     Élder Kroff and I this week had a little goal thing going on and it was to give everyone new we met a Book of M...
