Week 70

¡Feliz Navidad mis compas!     Wow, Christmas has already passed?! I can't believe it went by so fast and even worse, the year is about to end! The mission is going by quicker and quicker every single week. I send you all an email. This past week was incredible and definitely was a highlight! I hope you all had a fantastic Christmas remembering our Savior Jesus Christ.      Élder Bird and I in the month of December told 135 people the story of the birth of Jesus Christ! Well, 135 people said yes to a message. Isn't that number crazy?! Man, I can't believe we were able to do that. So cool to see how much the message of Christ can affect those around us. I loved sharing those messages out here in the Stead area.     Yesterday for Christmas I was very lucky to be able to have called my family. I can say this year definitely was harder than last year for many reasons, but seeing my family is what made it for me. I love the traditions and I love the gatheri...

Como andan mis cuates?     Man, Christmas is just less than a week away?! How can it be hahaha. This year has flown by so fast and I can't believe it's about to say week 70 up there! Just last year I was in Central Reno celebrating Christmas with some of my favorite people ever. Now I'm here doing the same! Gosh dang, it's been a wild ride haha.     This week was pretty good! Élder Bird and I got to work and it was super awesome. We found a fantastic little family that was more than happy to have us in their home. They gave us some authentic tacos which I definitely was craving that day. God is good. We have been sharing the Christmas message about the birth of Jesus Christ and it's been so fun to go around and offer that around this time of year. We were walking in a neighborhood and we were just walking around trying to talk to some new people to talk to. I'm scanning my eyes at each house to see which one we should knock. I glance at this door with a brown do...

COMO ESTÁN CARNALES?!     Yoooo this week was another semana fantástica! Gosh darn I really don't like the cold. It's not as cold as Elko, but these past few days it's been snowing pretty heavily. We had a lot of awesome opportunities to shovel driveways for others and that definitely made it all worth it. However, walking around with the snow coming down on your neck, not fun.     We had a lot of success this week. My companion and I found some new people to start teaching which has been really nice. I came into the area and I loved to talk to the people that they had taught previously, but I wanted to find some people that my companion and I could teach! There are a lot of cool Latinos here in the Stead area and man I love it. It's so rejuvenating to be here in a new area and have people that don't know me! In Elko I think just about every latino knew who I was.     We were teaching a less active this week and something funny was going on the whole time. ...

Buenos Días y Feliz Navidad!     Christmas time already?! How can it be? I feel like I just had my last Christmas and here I am on my last one for my mission. Time flies by so fast and I can't believe it. There is a quote in Ferris Bueler's day off I really like about how time passes by pretty quickly. If you know, help me out. This week was really great. Élder Bird and I have been able to work and get some more stuff moving here in our area. I feel bad for my boy Élder Bird because he has been sick like ever since I've got here. We will be walking or knocking on a door and man will hack out a lung almost. We are getting along well and I'm super grateful for his efforts in spreading the gospel to others despite his fears or nervousness.   We were able to teach a lot of people this week! In Elko we did teach people... But not a whole lot. Here it's awesome because we get to really teach people how to come closer to Christ and it just thrills me. We had a lesson with ...
