Week 75

Buenos días a todos!!! I hope you all had a fantastic week! It was pretty warm over here considering that it is January. However it snowed pretty hard yesterday and church even got canceled so that was not hype. More snow the better, Nevada needs out of this slump of no water!  Well this week was interesting to say the least. We had a good start to the week. Awesome lesson again with our progressing friend Alejandro about the amazing Plan of Salvation! I loved teaching it to him because he was so dialed in the entire lesson. Oftentimes when I am teaching I really try to make sure that they are able to feel the Spirit and be interested the entire time. That is because the Gospel is interesting and amazing! It is such a unique message that they should be glued to whatever we show them or give them, right? Well, in an ideal world yes but that often isn't how it goes. However, we are here to make it more often! Yes, Alejandro is doing well and I love to see him on our lesson day so tha...

Week 74

Buenas!!! Hey guys guess what!! A week has already gone by! It felt like a blink and boom here we are on week 74 of my mission what the heck. Usually I start off by saying "my week was fantastic!" or "My week was fantastico" for those of you that prefer Spanish, but I wanted to start with a Spiritual thought just to keep you all on your toes! I learned a lot this week about genuine love for the people in whom I see. I have realized a lot of the things that all of us do is centered and focused on the love we have for others. I love the scripture 1 John 4:7-9 because it mentions that God is love. I was taken back a little bit realizing that all our Father in Heaven does is show us love! We are guided everyday by Love and that is how we work. I also know that the Spirit testifies through love. I know as I go out and pray earnestly for that love for these people, I will get it. Well, this week was a bit on the rougher side. I think it's natural to get that type of w...

Week 73

Buenos días a todos de mis guachos!      Oh man, another week has flown by. I remember yesterday looking at the date and remembering, "How is it Sunday already?" Now here I am writing my 73rd email to all of you haha. I had a pretty good week! We had a lot of opportunities to teach and to find new people to talk to and inspire. I love the area I am in because there are so many different kinds of people and of course that comes with different situations. I just know that this Gospel message can heal whatever pain or sorrow people are going through.      I had a super cool experience this week on exchanges with Elder Bywater. We were walking around in the evening trying to visit some of the people we are teaching and seeing if we could share something with them. I had a prompting to go to one last door before we left the area and went and knocked this guy's door we found. He answered and we were shocked! They invited us in and we started to talk with the dad ...

Week 72

Muy buenos días mis cuates!      Oh man, another week just flies by! Does time pass by differently when you are a missionary? Am I in a different time zone from the world? I don't know how to explain it but it just seems that everyday just zips by and you don't even have a chance to think about it. I guess that is a good thing for my mom so she can see me sooner, right? Hahaha this week was filled with some cool miracles and exciting things coming up too! This past week I said goodbye to Young King himself, Elder Bird. It was a moment of sorrow, but I know he is killing it in downtown Reno. I was able to pick up my brand new missionary! He is quite interesting and we seem to get along well. His name is Elder Seaquist and is from Alpine, UT. He has a cool story! He was baptized at 14 and actually went to my high school for about a year too. We have been getting to work and being so bold with everyone in sharing the Gospel! Oh man, I just love it so much. I can already tell...

Week 71

Buenos días a todos!     YOOO this week was absolutely insane. Happy new year! I cannot believe that 2023 is here and that I will end my mission in just a short 7 months. How the time flies by!! It did not at first but now I wish I could go back to feeling like it was long. Élder Bird and I really got after it this week to finish off the transfer with vigor and diligence! I can say we 100% did. We taught some really great lessons and as well found a lot of new people to teach! I cannot help but thank Heavenly Father for helping us all out this week haha.      This was the last week of the transfer (which went by so fast) and consequently that means that transfer news is here. I received news that I will be training a brand new missionary! Again! Hahaha man I am nervous and excited at the same time. I have trouble with my inadequacies but I know that with the help of my Savior and my Father in Heaven all is possible! I got the news and I was bummed because I real...
