Week 71

Buenos días a todos!

YOOO this week was absolutely insane. Happy new year! I cannot believe that 2023 is here and that I will end my mission in just a short 7 months. How the time flies by!! It did not at first but now I wish I could go back to feeling like it was long. Élder Bird and I really got after it this week to finish off the transfer with vigor and diligence! I can say we 100% did. We taught some really great lessons and as well found a lot of new people to teach! I cannot help but thank Heavenly Father for helping us all out this week haha.

This was the last week of the transfer (which went by so fast) and consequently that means that transfer news is here. I received news that I will be training a brand new missionary! Again! Hahaha man I am nervous and excited at the same time. I have trouble with my inadequacies but I know that with the help of my Savior and my Father in Heaven all is possible! I got the news and I was bummed because I really like Elder Bird and he is very easy going. Oftentimes when I offer something to be more diligent or maybe on how our companionship can improve he is right on it. I have been very blessed to have him as a companion, but now I get a new one! Wish me luck with my brand new missionary!

It snowed a lot here. The roads were absolutely crowded and clogged the entire weekend. However, we had shovels and we just went to work! As we were walking around this neighborhood we talked to this single mom who had been trying to Shovel her driveway before her mom got back from Lake Tahoe. Over 4 feet of snow fell and she was stuck there overnight. We got to work and completely shoveled her driveway and were able to share a message of hope and peace through the Gospel of Jesus Christ...and said we could come back! Super cool stuff.

As well, there were 2 days where it just rained like crazy. We were walking around in a neighborhood and I had another door just stick into my head. I love when that happens! I could not shake the image of this door. When we went up to knock, a Mexican man answered! So thrilled, we immediately asked him if we could share a message with him and his family right then and there. He said yes and we taught him a great lesson and bore powerful testimony of the BOM and its truthfulness. Man, I love this work!

I have recently been going through the New Testament again to recount the life of my Savior. It has been so inspiring and something I read just this morning about the parable of the talents. I love this quote from the lord there. He says, "Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of the lord." (Matthew 25:21) I desire nothing more to have that been said to me by Christ when all is said and done. I have been trying to master my desires and my ability to be diligent here on my mission. I am trying harder everyday and I have come to the conclusion that it Is possible. It all is do-able. YOU can do it with the help of Christ. I have a firm testimony that we all can and that our capacity is magnified by Him. We all do what we are capable of and The Lord makes up the rest. Little tidbit for y'all.

Love this work! Love this Gospel! Nothing better than what we have now. I hope you all have a great start to the new year and that you all have set some great goals! Tengo meta de no ser mandilon cuando soy esposo. Have a great week and be safe! Feel free to reach out to me!

Alma 56:47 - Now they never had fought, yet they did not fear death; and they did think more upon the liberty of their fathers than they did upon their lives; yea, they had been taught by their mothers, that if they did not doubt, God would deliver them.
