Week 41

Muy buenos días mis amigos!!     I hope you guys all had an amazing week these past few days because, man God is good! I had a really good week just filled with tiny miracles! It is getting pretty warm here in Carson so I'm excited to get out and talk to todo la gente!! I am looking a little more tan than usual because of the missionary grind but we all know that I still look like a vanilla ice cream cone from McDonald's      We had an amazing few lessons this week with our boy Jorge Moreno! We talked a lot about the Book of Mormon and the influence it has in our lives. He is really interested and was super Hyped to start reading it. He also has a little cousin that likes to join in on our charlitas and I gave him a CTR ring. I have decided that children that speak Spanish are officially the cutest thing ever. It's so cool to see some of the people that move here and are just so willing to learn! Talk about humility because man!! It's a great example of how I ca...

Week 40

Que lo que!!!!     How are we doing, everyone?! I hope the answer is either A. Fantastic or B. I'm good but it was a tough week     I only give you option B because it's okay to be sad but ultimately we got to keep pressing on! Unfortunately, I'd say this week was one of the longest and hardest weeks I've had so far. Now I know what you're thinking, "WHAT?! HOW IS IT SO?! HE SAID THESE LAST FEW WEEKS WERE AMAZING!" ladies and gentlemen, things can change.     No, in all seriousness it was a tough one. There was a lot of negativity and the adversary was definitely trying to get me and get me down. Missions are hard and they can sometimes beat you down. However a miracle this week was that I chose to just let myself be sad for 5 minutes, then I got back to work. It's something that my mom said I taught her, but if I'm honest I can't remember telling her that so I think she taught me. Anyways, that trick works! I would let myself feel sad/angry/co...

Week 39

Hola muy buenos días mi gente!!!     How are you guys doing? I hope well! This week was super crammed with A LOT of things we got to do, so that always keeps me busy and happy! Usually in the mission busy = good and back home busy = bad so when I get home I'm going to have to make busy = good still. Anyways, I know you guys are just on the edge of your seats trying to see how my week went! Well, I'll tell ya!     This week we had zone conference! It was a little different than it usually is. We only had our zone there so it was very small. It's sad because I loved seeing my old zone and some other people in the mission, but now the only "social" event is really transfers, which is coming up in 3 weeks by the way. Yeah. Crazy. Anyways, it was really good and we actually had an amazing conversation about how the Atonement of Jesus Christ can apply to the people we teach and how we can learn more about it ourselves. Super inspiring and I may or may not have come back...

Week 38

Bueno bueno bueno!!!     GUYS. This week was probably one of the most hype weeks of my mission! I don't know why but it just was filled with so many experiences and absolute GOATED spiritual guidance. Sooooo I'm gonna tell some awesome stories and I hope yall enjoy!     First, we had the amazing opportunity to go on a bike ride with our homeboy Marcos! He invited us to go and ride some bikes around Carson City! We met up and when we saw his bike... Oh. My. Gosh. It was the most beautiful bike I have ever seen. He pulled it out of the trunk and it was a low rider bike absolutely decked out with some swirly looking metal parts and a stuffed animal sitting at the front with a cross around its neck. It was so much fun to be biking around with him! He actually had a deep talk to us about how he's been doing and it was incredible to see his progression from where he's been. God truly can forge us into something when we let Him!     We got invited to do some servi...

Week 37

Bueno bueno bueno!!     I hope all of you are doing super bien!! This week was a really good one. Made up for the tough week I had last week! Start of a new transfer so a fresh start!! We got some new quad mates this week and they are SOOOOO fun! We all workout in the morning and BOP to some hype youth music and all. Then we all just work our butts off, come back, and vibe all night. (until 10:30 respectively) Heavenly Father has blessed Élder Loria and I with some awesome people to live with for these next six weeks. We have fun, we work, and of course we keep the Spirit. All in good fun, but I just had to tell y'all about that because it's so awesome and a huge blessing!      This week was filled with a lot of hard work. I was really motivated to be a better missionary and more diligent and we were rewarded! We've had success in teaching others, inviting the Spirit, and the gift of tongues. It's all so good, I am really grateful for the power that God has to g...
