Week 39

Hola muy buenos días mi gente!!!

How are you guys doing? I hope well! This week was super crammed with A LOT of things we got to do, so that always keeps me busy and happy! Usually in the mission busy = good and back home busy = bad so when I get home I'm going to have to make busy = good still. Anyways, I know you guys are just on the edge of your seats trying to see how my week went! Well, I'll tell ya!

This week we had zone conference! It was a little different than it usually is. We only had our zone there so it was very small. It's sad because I loved seeing my old zone and some other people in the mission, but now the only "social" event is really transfers, which is coming up in 3 weeks by the way. Yeah. Crazy. Anyways, it was really good and we actually had an amazing conversation about how the Atonement of Jesus Christ can apply to the people we teach and how we can learn more about it ourselves. Super inspiring and I may or may not have come back to the apartment absolutely motivated to baptize nations!!

We did service for our boy Brother Cremeans! It is always a good time with him, we cleaned up a lot of trash in his backyard and talked to him for a while. While we were working, he showed us these ulcers on his leg. Unfortunately he doesn't have enough money. It seems like to go to the doctor and get it figured out. It's getting bad and he jokes that he has to get it cut off. Scary stuff, so if you guys could spare some prayers for him that'd be awesome!!

Side note: This week, during comp study we walked outside and I realized just about half way through I put on mismatching shoes. Enjoy the picture below of my silly mistake.

We had some fire lessons with a few people we've just recently met this week. We taught this one lady the plan of salvation and she was pretty into it. Luckily, the Gift of Tongues is real and totally came in clutch and I was able to teach some stuff that usually is difficult for me. She was awesome and genuinely seemed like she wanted to learn more! Also, Facebook finding isn't cap. If you really are diligent, you will find fruit! I found 3 people on Facebook this past week and they're all being taught right now and are meeting with the Missionaries in their area! One is in Ecuador, and the other two in Reno. Super cool stuff!! I may not be teaching them, but it doesn't really matter. They're receiving the restored Gospel and that's all that matters!

I had exchanges this week with the ZLs and oh my goodness it was a blast. I went with elder Nance, he goes home this transfer so I kind of expected him to be a bit slower. Nope. This guy was bouncing off the walls and we were able to match pace and we were constantly going and going. It was such a good exchange and he is such a genuine guy. He is awesome and I was very fortunate to go on an exchange with him! We "bucked" some hay for this old couple and the Husband told me that he made the set for the movies Coraline and Nightmare before Christmas, so if you've seen the movies... I met the guy who made the sets! Hahaha it was pretty cool to meet him and he's a super nice guy.

This week was filled with a lot of craziness and moving to this and to the next. I really loved the chaos. I won't lie to you. It was nice because you really can get into a routine on the mission. Wake up, workout, breakfast, get ready, studys, lunch, lessons, dinner, more lessons, then get ready for bed! However, this week broke the mold and it was good for my brain! A lot of my friends back home are having summer break! Hope you all are enjoying it!!

Little spiritual thought, I was studying just the other day and I came across a talk called, "Ask, Seek, and Knock." This talk really stuck out to me and it gives you ideas of ways that you can do all these things. I recently have been focusing on the seek part. I've asked my questions and I just haven't sought enough. I actually had a really cool personal experience that helped me realize the importance of the seeking part. I can promise you all that Heavenly Father will provide a way for you to have your question when you seek it. I hope your week was good and I know that Christ Lives! Feel free to reach out to me! Be safe!

Alma 49:28 - And it came to pass, that on the other hand, the people of Nephi did thank the Lord their God, because of his matchless power in delivering them from the hands of their enemy.
