Week 75

Buenos días a todos!!!

I hope you all had a fantastic week! It was pretty warm over here considering that it is January. However it snowed pretty hard yesterday and church even got canceled so that was not hype. More snow the better, Nevada needs out of this slump of no water!

Well this week was interesting to say the least. We had a good start to the week. Awesome lesson again with our progressing friend Alejandro about the amazing Plan of Salvation! I loved teaching it to him because he was so dialed in the entire lesson. Oftentimes when I am teaching I really try to make sure that they are able to feel the Spirit and be interested the entire time. That is because the Gospel is interesting and amazing! It is such a unique message that they should be glued to whatever we show them or give them, right? Well, in an ideal world yes but that often isn't how it goes. However, we are here to make it more often! Yes, Alejandro is doing well and I love to see him on our lesson day so that we can continue to teach him!

Élder Seaquist got pretty sick near the end of the week. On Thursday he woke up and could not speak because of how bad his throat was hurting and he was also very fatigued. I made him a drink to help his throat and got some medicine to help with the sore muscles, but nothing. He slept the entire day  Thursday and Friday with maybe a 30 minute interval to eat something. Poor guy! He is feeling better today so hopefully this week we can go out and do some work. I read through all of 3rd Nephi, 4 Nephi, and Mormon in those days and plowed through Mark and Luke... Good times!

Something I studied this week was the power of Agency! I love this amazing gift we have been given from God because of the freedom we have while here in our earthly life. I remember at the beginning of my mission being a little discouraged when people would not accept a message or decided to argue with/complain to/ignore us. However, because of this Godly gift these people are able to exercise their ability to choose! I have really cherished this gift and all that it entails. I just love and cherish everyone for that very reason! God is good!

I have high hopes for these next 6 months of my mission. This week on the 3rd I only have 6 months left. I cannot believe that it has been that long, but I have to work my heart out! These people in Nevada deserve my 110% every single day. I feel as of lately like I have been held back by other elements, but I know the Lord is trying to teach me something in the process. Wish me luck this next week! I hope you all have a great week and please feel free to reach out to me! Que disfruten su semana mi gente!

3 Nephi 20:31 - And they shall believe in me, that I am Jesus Christ, the Son of God, and shall pray unto the Father in my name.
