Week 69

Como andan mis cuates?

Man, Christmas is just less than a week away?! How can it be hahaha. This year has flown by so fast and I can't believe it's about to say week 70 up there! Just last year I was in Central Reno celebrating Christmas with some of my favorite people ever. Now I'm here doing the same! Gosh dang, it's been a wild ride haha.

This week was pretty good! Élder Bird and I got to work and it was super awesome. We found a fantastic little family that was more than happy to have us in their home. They gave us some authentic tacos which I definitely was craving that day. God is good. We have been sharing the Christmas message about the birth of Jesus Christ and it's been so fun to go around and offer that around this time of year. We were walking in a neighborhood and we were just walking around trying to talk to some new people to talk to. I'm scanning my eyes at each house to see which one we should knock. I glance at this door with a brown door and these really unique grooves within it too. I glanced and looked away and I literally had that door implanted in my mind. We knocked it and it was a Hispanic lady that was more than happy to have us come back another time and share something with her sweet family. It was so cool to have that experience of following a prompting and afterwards seeing that God led us to where we needed to be!

Élder Bird and I have been having a lot of fun together! We're getting along well and it's crazy to think I've almost been with him a whole transfer. In our quad we've been having a lot of different goals to help keep the place clean. Unfruitful, but it does bond us. We have gotten really close and it's been so much fun to work hard together and joke around.

Teaching people has become one of my favorite things I've learned how to do. I used to be bad at it, ask my brothers. However, I've been out here teaching everyday and it just blows me away how much fun it can be. As well, I've got Christ on my side to help me teach how He needs me to teach. I've learned a lot and I'm super grateful. We can go out and just boom teach someone on the street and before I would just be super shy and dread talking to someone new.

Another great week. Went to a wedding, slipped on ice, met an Atheist, did a temple session, and ate lots of Mexican food. I can't think of anything better! I hope you all have a fantastic Christmas here coming up! We will be visiting lots of people and as well going to church hehe. Que tengan una buena semana! Feel free to reach out to me and be safe!
