Week 8
¡Hola a todos! ¿Que Pasa? Hahaha how's it going everybody? Life in Reno we're back at it again! This week has been pretty good. Went a lot faster than last week which was nice! I'm starting to get to know a lot more people which has been really helpful with my transition. Usually if you're a greenie no one likes you, but I've had a ton of people tell me I'm the best greenie! Let's gooo hahaha. Anyways, we taught a lot of lessons this week. We're out every night teaching at least 4 lessons each time. My comp says this is THE best work in the mission so I've been spoiled! We do service too which is fun. We are still on bikes so we have to ask people for rides all the time hahaha. I'm really liking it here. Me and my comp are pretty close so that makes it a lot easier for me. I have always struggled with being in a one on one setting so when i figured out it was just me and him in our apartment i almost cried haha. We're all good now, no need to worry! Everyday is new. Getting chased by homeless people, getting the devil casted out of you, SNOWING (yes it's snowing as I write this), and figuring out how small the world is. I love this gospel and it's amazing. I've been truly blessed! I invite all of you to look for it's truthfulness!
I'm going to be honest. I'm struggling with Spanish. I've been praying over and over for the gift of tongues and the gift of interpretation of tongues... and nothing. We go to lessons and I can only pray and testify. When they talk back to me I can't understand a word they say. This is sooo frustrating for me. However, this has helped me work harder than ever. I've been studying Spanish more and more each day. I want to understand these people so I can bring them to salvation!! I've got a lot of feelings about that but just wanted to let you all know... never become discouraged because of a difficult trial. Keep pushing through and find a way to conquer it! If you haven't started, start now! I'm right here with you.
Anyways, my week was chill and I've studied the scriptures soooo much. I finished the BOM so now I'm reading the new testament because a lot of the Latinos refer back to the Bible so I need to read it again. There's a lot I've been learning! Feel free to reach out to me! Be safe! Talk to you all next week :)
Matthew 5:14,16 - Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
