Week 15
Buenos dias
How are y'all doing?! Another week in Reno!! I say that a lot... but like seriously everyday I wake up and say
"Wow. I'm in Nevada."
Kind of whack, but not too bad! This week went by pretty fast! We had a lot going on so that was fun and made it easier for me! I'm gonna do a little day by day break down... here you go!
Tuesday: District council! First one of the transfers. We kind of figured out what the freak is going on with the members in our branch. We want to get in better contact with them, bring them to lessons and more! We also have 5 active members in our area. A lot of member work to do! Anyways yeah then we had a lesson which was pretty short!
Wednesday: zone conference baby! Got to see some people from around Reno again which was nice! Made some friends in other zones so it's good to see them. President and Sister Dunn spiritually enlightened us so that was sick too. They're awesome! Learned a lot from this zone conference :)
Thursday: Turkey day!! This day was awesome! I studied gratitude and love for God and gained a personal testimony of gratitude! Then I talked to my family which was a very good refresher! Love talking to them because sometimes the week can get hard! Then we had 2 dinners! The first one was with Latino family who doesn't really celebrate Thanksgiving, so we had carnitas tacos and played games! Afterwards, we went to our good friend yaiyai's! (That's how you spell it apparently) We came a little late but we came and talked for a while! Then we got home and crashed from all the food we had hahaha.
Friday: This day was filled with some lessons and some struggles as well. Nothing too crazy today but God is good!
Saturday/Sunday: This day was FIRE. We had Uchtdorf come talk to us! The whole mission came down or up to Reno! So I saw my old trainer, people who got transferred, and people I've heard rumors about! All good fun! But it was crazy to have him like right there! My whole life I've only seen him through a screen for general conference! He was there and real! Very uplifting moment. Him and his wife taught us a lot and I'm so thankful! Then, after we got home... my companion was feeling some kidney pain! Like any good companion would do, I gave him a blessing! Right after we finished he called the doctor and then told him to go to the ER! So at 11 at night we went to the ER. How fun!! He got the whole 9 yards. Cat scan, blood tests, physical exams, EVERYTHING. We sat there until about 3am. Then they came back and said he had 2 small kidney stones. Yeah, so we got back home around 3:30! Then I woke up at 6:30 ready to start our day!!! Then we had Church which was soooo fire because... Sabbath day!! All our lessons canceled so we pretty much did nothing hahaha
Yeah! This was a weird format. I'm sorry, but my week was kind of crazy! Love this work! God works in amazing ways and I'm grateful to be un misionero. Hope you all are doing well. Feel free to reach out! Be safe!
Mosiah 2:21-22 - I say unto you that if ye should serve him who has created you from the beginning, and is preserving you from day to day, by lending you breath, that ye may live and move and do according to your own will, and even supporting you from one moment to another—I say, if ye should serve him with all your whole souls yet ye would be unprofitable servants.
And behold, all that he requires of you is to keep his commandments; and he has promised you that if ye would keep his commandments ye should prosper in the land; and he never doth vary from that which he hath said; therefore, if ye do keep his commandments he doth bless you and prosper you
