Week 17

Buenos días!

Alright everybody what's good. Reno baby! This week flew by. I am not even going to lie. These days are starting to get faster. Is that a good thing or bad thing? Not sure!

So... I know you all are dying to know. Transfers!! Am I leaving or am I staying? Of course I'm staying!! Let's go! Me and my comp will have another transfer together. Staying here for another transfer means a lot of things so I'm really excited. This transfer is going to be 7 weeks long, so I will be here till February! God blesses those that are faithful!

Alright, so this week was freezing cold. Winter is starting around here! It doesn't snow here though. It just gets cold. In Reno, rarely is there snow. It's been just dry and cold. Yay!

I have been on a general conference grind. I think I've read like 15 talks since Saturday. I don't know what it is... All of the sudden I just felt like I should be reading them more! So that has been really good and my testimony of our Prophet and his Apostles is growing!

With our week going by pretty fast, we had a lot of people to teach. We have been giving Christmas messages like crazy! I am so happy to talk about Christ. We share Luke 2, the part where Simeon gives baby Jesus a blessing. I invite you to read this part when you've got some time. I had previously always passed by this part or didn't think much of it, but it really is beautiful! Anyways, yes a lot of Christmas messages!

We have been working closely with a member in our branch named Marisela. She is a recent convert and she is the only member in her family. So she stopped going to church and no one had seen her. Me and my companion were walking in this trailer park and had two visits fall through. My comp points out that Marisela's house was only a 5 minute walk. I immediately got a prompting to go visit her. Crazy enough when we visited her, she expressed how alone and confused she had felt recently. We offered comfort and friendship (because we're missionaries, we do that too) and now we're reading the Scriptures with her twice a week! Little miracle for me :)

This week was really good. Got news I'm staying here, had a Christmas party, lots of talking about Christ, and lots of reading. I'm happy to be here. It can be difficult sometimes and I can assure you there are times where I wanna go home, but staying out here not only is blessing me... but my family also. So grateful this time of year! Merry Christmas! Feel free to reach out to me. Be safe!

John 8:12 - Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
