Week 19

Buenos días a todos y Feliz Navidad!!

 

 

Hey, what's going on everybody! Merry Christmas! I'm a little late But I hope everyone had an amazing Christmas focusing on the birth of our Savior! This week was actually pretty good! I had some struggles being away from home on Christmas, but the Lord reminded me of my purpose being here! I was able to contact my family on Christmas day and "open" gifts with them. It was really fun to still spend that day with them, even over the phone! My wonderful parents sent me some gifts still which was so nice of them! 

 

 

There were some good parts of my week and I wanted to share one with you all! Christmas Eve, me and my companion started to worry that we didn't have much to do on that day. We began to panic and frantically daily plan ideas of what we could do. I remember thinking, let's do some caroling! He kind of liked the idea, I'm assuming he wasn't all on board because he knew my voice sounds like a really really sick dog with a mix of the voices from "Alvin and the Chipmunks'' (fire movie BTW) but eventually I convinced him to let us go. We invited the other missionaries who serve in our branch! We got together in the morning to make cards for people we wanted to Carol to! We wrote like 7 letters and everyone else wrote like 25. That night we went Caroling! We went out and sang to a few homes and eventually we went to an investigators house. We knocked on her door and immediately she goes "pasalen!" which means come in! So we came in, sang for her and then she fed us Pupusas! They were authentic and from El Salvador and she had a bunch of them. I had a few but my companion CHOWED. We sang with her and snagged a few pictures and left. What a miracle! Some authentic food from El Salvador and singing! What an awesome Christmas Eve.

 

 

That was long, I'm sorry but this week really did turn out awesome. I'm slowly getting more used to the Missionary Life. I woke up the other morning and felt like I was at home... Which is weird because my home is my home. However, I think it's good because now I won't be feeling icky when I don't wake up in my own bed! Awesome week, God is good, preparing for 2022 is gonna be fun, and I love my Savior! Feel free to reach out to me! ¡Ten ciudado!
