Week 21

Buenos días a todos!!

 

 

What's good everybody?! I hope the new year has been treating you guys well! Reno knows how to kick off a New Year! We've been hitting the ground running with this missionary work! I've really got a good mindset for this upcoming year. I don't know what it is but it might be me being a Missionary I don't know... 

 

 

Anyways... This week went pretty well! Like I said, we hit the ground running. My motivation to get out and get to work has increased tremendously. Not that I wasn't motivated before but this week I'm a different BREED!! I've really been moving forward and let me tell you the time goes by fast! I've really seen the blessings from committing myself. Not only just in Missionary work but in life in general. I've really been enjoying myself so far in my Mission! Now let's talk about my week... 

 

 

This whole week, like I said, was pretty good! I tried to get some gears moving in myself and in my companion and it worked! I remember distinctly asking in my prayers for this week to be filled with opportunities to serve and to teach. I can quickly testify with sufficient faith and effort followed afterwards, whatever your righteous desire is... It will be fulfilled. I really saw that happen this week and I'm so grateful. I started talking to so many people I never would have before. 

 

 

My birthday was this week! I say this not to get attention or anything... But something really fun was we did "Birthday Exchanges" with the ZLs! My zone leader had his birthday right after mine so we did exchanges together the night of my birthday and the whole day of his birthday! Birthday boy duo was awesome! We did some hard work and had lots of laughs. Really grateful for my first birthday on the mission! Thank you to all of you who sent me birthday wishes! I love and miss all of you!

 

 

Quick story about my friend Alan! We had a lesson with him on my birthday and right before we got there... He told us he was gonna be un poco tarde. Then after waiting for 30 minutes he came running past me to his door and unlocked it. He sat down and immediately turned around with a gift! He wished me a happy birthday and engulfed me in a hug. So special for me to be shown that much love! So genuine and I just ahhh love this guy. My dad is gonna get a kick out of what he got me and I hope all of you do too.

 

 

My week really was awesome. It was filled with some moments of anger, sadness, joy, and confusion. It's something beautiful I've seen. When I feel these ways I immediately turn to the Lord. It's something so comforting and I couldn't be more grateful for what I've come to know out here. I apologize, this email is kind of all over the place but my heart is sincere!
