Week 25

Buenos días!! How are y'all doing?! As I said last week... Ya boy is in Carson City!!! It's actually really hype down here!! I have really been enjoying it down here so far. It took a few days to adjust and everything but I'm really enjoying this time I've had so far! My new companion is a DAWG! His name is Elder Loria! He is a complete homie. He is from Lehi, Utah! He is really into calisthenics which is like body weight exercises so we grind in the mornings! No seriously, he is awesome and I've been liking it here! I'm in the Spanish area as well so it's been really fun since I've gotten here. My Spanish is still okay so it's going great down here!

Carson City is literally different from Reno! It's almost like... Closed off from all of Nevada. It's weird but it's kind of isolated! We live in a quad with some other Elders! My whole mission I thought it would be really fun to be in a quad, but it's really not that fun!  They stay in their room all morning and when they come out my companion and I are going out for the day. It's all good though because I've been liking my time with Loria!

The branch we're in has been really fun to get to know. A lot smaller than the Sierra Branch! We get 20 people on a regular basis which is better than nothing! I've been really happy to be here and the people are so friendly! I can't wait to develop a friendship with the people here! Also, we don't get a lot of dinners so your boy is going to turn Into a chef here soon!!

Earlier this week... I had a huge miracle happen! Our homie Alan, who is on date, asked me to baptize him!! Man isn't that cool?! I'm so excited!! I love that guy so much and I'm so honored to be a part of his special day. I asked my mission president if I could come up and do it and he said yes! February 26 everyone! I'm really excited!

Elder loria and I have been working really hard so far. We have done a lot of cleaning and Constantly searched for ways to contact new and old people. It's been a lot of fun because he is down to come out with me! It's a pace change for sure. I can't remember if I said this last week, but I'm missing Élder Christen! We struggled, but ultimately we both grew so much. Really proud of him and thankful for him!

I'm so grateful to be here on my mission. It isn't a forgein country where there are beaches and palm trees and all the latinos love you... But it's the place I was chosen to go. Nevada doesn't sound Choice, let alone Carson city or Reno. However, I have found a deep love for this place and the people here. It's so weird how it happens that way. I've realized the more I've left myself to become more like Christ, the greater love I have for everyone. It was a great week! I'm alive, safe, and happy! Hope all of you are well! Have a fantastic week and be safe!!

Jacob 4:12 - And now, beloved, marvel not that I tell you these things; for why not speak of the atonement of Christ, and attain to a perfect knowledge of him, as to attain to the knowledge of a resurrection and the world to come
