Week 3

Hola a todos!

I am half way through my MTC experience! I am going to be honest... it has not been exactly what I had expected how the start of my mission would look like. However, I have been able to see the long term perspective. I see this as a slow transition into my missionary life for these next two years. I leave for the field on the 28th of September! I am very eager to preach the gospel. Having my teachers act if they are an investigator isn't cutting it for me anymore hahaha. I have begun to understand a lot about myself and what works for me. The gospel has been amazing and I have loved diving so deep into something I absolutely love!

I have been really enjoying my time with my district! They are all great people and it has been awesome to get to know them better. The missionaries in my area have also been really awesome to spend time with. We recently had a testimony meeting with some missionaries in our area and it was so inspiring. It is so cool to know that we are all feeling the same things and thinking the same way... but having a completely different experience. The spirit works in mysterious ways and I happen to love it.

My Spanish still sucks but I have truly been blessed with the Gift of Tongues! I have understood more than I have ever been able to. We are confined to only Spanish these last few weeks which has been stressful hahaha. I could not be more happy with deciding to serve a mission in a foreign language though. It has been so humbling to start from the beginning and work my way up! It also is a good trial of my faith because there are nights where all I want to do is scream my lungs out because I am not learning spanish hahaha.

Sorry this is super long! The pictures are cool this week so I actually don't mind if JUST THIS WEEK you skip down to the pictures ;) Feel free to reach out to me! Be safe!

P.S. It is my best friend's birthday! Happy birthday Madi Bell!!!!!!!!!!!
