Week 32

Que lo que mis amados amigos.

What's up everyone! This week is one for the books here in Carson City, Nevada! Yeah, that's right. I'm not in Africa, Argentina, Bolivia, Colombia, or México. I am loving it here in Nevada! I heard a lot of negativity recently about serving in Nevada. It's an amazing place and la gente aquí is fantastic. Just wanted to openly admit my love for Nevada!!

This week was a tiring week. I will not lie. We had a lot of meetings and broadcasts we had to watch. A member of the 70 came to our Mission and gave us some great advice. It was a really cool opportunity for me to look at missionary work just a bit differently. Just a lot of eye opening things which were really cool! Then, I had the special opportunity ir al templo!! Reno temple is so sick, but unfortunately that was the last time I can go while I'm here in Carson City. Really sad because I've loved being inside the temple. It's a peace that can't be found anywhere else! I remember literally thinking to myself before leaving, "do I really have to go? Is it really time already?" That is how strongly I want to stay.

We played some soccer this week to get some new friends to come and we had a fantastic turn out. We had around 20 people show up! It was a big soccer game and it was a lot of fun. I got my butt whooped because, once again, I'm a little white boy playing soccer with mucha gente que juegan bien.

We had exchanges this week and I was able to go with Élder Wingard! It was actually a really good exchange. We stayed busy the entire day and had really amazing experiences with people around here. We taught this one lady who is recovering from an alcohol addiction and oh my goodness I was on the edge of crying. She has a golden heart. We asked her to read a chapter in the Book of mormon and 10 minutes after we left she texted us and said she'd already read that chapter, AND MORE! That's pretty cool if you ask me. That doesn't happen often

Something I was learning this week and pondering pretty deeply was personal revelation. It's something that is pretty essential to our everyday life. If I didn't receive personal revelation, I would be very lost! I wouldn't be on a mission, I wouldn't be set in my path, and I wouldn't have amounted to the things I've amounted to. It's such a cool thing to think about! The heavens are still open! We are still able to receive help and knowledge from our Heavenly Father and its life changing. As I was reading Come, Follow Me for this week, it talks about the story of Moses and the burning bush. Unfortunately, God won't be appearing to me in a talking flaming bush, but he can touch my heart and my mind with The Holy Ghost! So grateful for the gift of The Holy Ghost I have.

Sorry, a very long spiritual thought but I thought it was worth sharing! I hope all of you are well. Feel free to reach out to me! Be safe!
