Week 79
Hola mis bellos amigos!
This week was so fire! But Holy smokes im tired. I'm pretty sure that's normal at this point in my mission, but no better reason to push forward than salvation right?! We had some cool stuff happen this week as well as some stuff not so exciting :( However, we focus on the positive and the uplifting!!
I was able to go on an exchange with the one and only Élder Madrid this week was had an absolute blast. We got along very well and it's so nice because we both know how to do missionary work! It flows and it's good. It was snowing super hard when we started going out and we both had the thought of rethinking what we had planned earlier. I honestly was having faith that if we kept knocking, something would happen but Élder Madrid got that impression. We prayed and had the impressions to visit a few people and what was cool is we needed to be at each of those places at the right time. Gosh, I love being a missionary!
We had zone conference this week as well and that really got me excited for this upcoming transfer! We talked a lot about working with members and even had members come and have a panel with us so we could ask questions and see how we can improve. I usually get a lot of insight from zone conferences and I definitely think that was the biggest one!
Yesterday at church I could definitely tell that the Lord blesses you in His own time. We had been working for weeks and weeks to get a bunch of people to church and this week it finally happened. We had our recent convert and his family come to both hours, an inactive come for two hours, and a friend of a less active come! It was easily the best day for church I've ever had. It's so awesome to see these people come and just say the peace and love they felt as they attended. My joy was full as I talked to each of them about their experience!
The Quad I live in have all started a challenge called, "Cut month" which basically during the month of March we are all slimming down. I was just going to do it myself but then I got the whole quad involved. It'll be fun to see how we can better motivate each other to be healthy and happy for this upcoming month sooo wish us luck!
I love this work and everything about it. The hard times may seem like it makes it hard to love, but even during those times I can still say I love it. I've come out here to serve my Heavenly Father and Preach a special message centered on the Redeemer of the world. What could be more hopeful and fulfilling then that? Jesus lives and is the ONLY way in which we can be saved. I read this week again one of my favorite scriptures found in the New Testament which has enlightened me and given me hope on my mission. I'll drop it below!
Have a great week. I hope all is well! I can't believe how fast time flies but I know my mom is happy it is, be safe everyone and please feel free to shoot me an email!
Romans 8:16-17
The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together
