Week 82

Buenas!

Once again, I cannot believe that a week has passed by! The time is definitely different here on the mission, I feel like I'm being robbed. I also knew how to start these emails but now I'm on number 82 and I'm kind of out of ideas, so I'm just going to get right into it!

I went to North Lake Tahoe and did Exchanges up there with Elder Madrid. Holy smokes, we worked so hard! It was so nice to go out and just help the people there. The Elders there live in Kings Beach, so we mainly did a lot of work there. We also go to Incline Village and Truckee. There are all walks of life there in Tahoe and it makes it that much more fun to go out and meet some new people, as well as offer a helping hand! Elder Madrid and I got a long super well and we had an absolute blast. We had an amazing lesson with an active member and her non-member husband. He is so supportive of her and he also seemed to gain more interest since we had that lesson! God is good.

We had an opportunity this week to take a less active member to the temple grounds here in Reno. Wow. The peace I feel there every time continues to amaze me. The Spirit is so unique and it drives me to be there myself as well as bring others. It's such a unique thing we have as a church and I'm so glad that we do have it. We are able to make covenants and bind ourselves more and more to our Savior! Can't think of anything better, right? Our friend kept saying how peaceful and beautiful it was there. I don't think it was a coincidence that it happened to be the most beautiful day either :)

Being a missionary is an honor, but it's tough. As I've been getting nearer to the end of my mission I've realized how dedicated you have to be to the Savior to serve at the same pace your entire mission. It is way easier said than done, but He gives us the strength to do it. I've been able to realize the longer and longer I've been at it for, the more I've depended on the Lord. This principle isn't only applicable to missionary work, but in everything we have in this mortal life. He descended BELOW all things, not exactly to our level. He has gone below what we've all gone through, and that is what makes Him the best Sympathizer ever. I am very grateful for this knowledge and testimony I have, and if you don't have one... stop reading this right now and go get one!

This work is mind-blowing, fulfilling, hard, and every second is worth it. I love being out here! As I walk the streets here in the Reno-Stead area, my heart grows to love each and every single person I see. It doesn't come easy, but it's finally come. I sincerely wish all of you the best week this week! Times are getting crazy, but God is greater than any trial we have. Cling to Him. Have a great week! Be safe!

John 10:17 - Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again.
