Week 89
Hey Everybody!
Man, this week was soo crazy! I have loved being here in this area so much and I am praying that the weather gets better so these last few months will just be an absolute grind. I have received a new companion! His name is Elder Oakes. We have served around each other before in Elko and have gone on a few exchanges so I am really pumped for this next transfer! We have some really good stuff looking up, but I am coming near the end of my mission so this is weird.
First off, Rachel Sparks. Our dear friend! She is locked in for May 20th in order to be baptized! We have been working so hard with her and she has done SO well. It has been such a wild ride with her but she has gotten to this point by the Strength of God! We were talking just the other day and we made sure that she was all squared away, and we asked her what else she was holding back. She mentions that she still has some weed with her. My companion and I looked at each other and said, "Cough it up." Her mother-in-law goes and grabs some weed and gives it to us. I had the strongest feeling that she had some more so we asked her if she had anymore. She goes back to her room and gives us the rest. I was dying laughing. The member we brought to the lesson with us after goes, "Elders, please don't get pulled over with that in your car!" We didn't get pulled over so all is well! However, a few funny pictures later and a garbage run, we helped her make more progress towards the Covenant Path!
We also have our friend Crystal who we are working with and she is AWESOME. Her mom is a Recent Convert in our ward and has been helping us so much with teaching her daughter. She has been praying about the Book of Mormon! It's been so much fun talking with her and helping her progress. She brought her boyfriend with her too and that was so sick. They liked it a lot too which was so hype.
Man, this work is so amazing. We had to do a lot of planning for the upcoming transfer this week so we had a lot of our time occupied. All I can say is that this is amazing and I am so happy to be here. Reno has my heart and I could not be more excited to finish off strong! Sorry this week was short, but it man was good!
Helaman 5:47 - Peace, peace be unto you, because of your faith in my Well Beloved, who was from the foundation of the world
